Jackson, MI (August 26, 2025) – A 63-year-old man was seriously injured Monday night after being ejected from his vehicle in a crash caused by another driver running a red light in Jackson.
According to the Michigan State Police, the crash occurred at approximately 9:03 p.m. on August 25, 2025, at the intersection of North West Avenue and Wildwood Avenue. Jackson Police Chief Christopher Simpson confirmed that a vehicle traveling south on North West Avenue ran a red light and struck a vehicle that was heading west on Wildwood Avenue.
The impact threw the 63-year-old Jackson man from his car. He was rushed to Henry Ford Jackson Hospital with a severe head injury. A 57-year-old woman, who was driving the at-fault vehicle, did not report any injuries at the scene and was not arrested.
