ABILENE, TX (November 19, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash Monday evening in north Abilene claimed the life of 64-year-old Jesse Lee Turner, according to local authorities.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal collision occurred around 6:30 p.m. on November 17, 2025, along Old Anson Road near West Overland Trail. Turner, a resident of Abilene, was traveling northbound when his vehicle crossed into the opposite lane and collided with an oncoming southbound vehicle.
Turner sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. No other major injuries were reported in the other vehicle.
Police have not released additional information and continue to investigate what may have caused the vehicle to veer into oncoming traffic.
