According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident took place around 5:30 p.m. on November 4 on Farm-to-Market Road 933 near Coxs Oak Valley Road. Kenneth Ramsey, 90, and his wife, Bernice Ramsey, 86, had just left a nearby polling location and were traveling in a Chrysler Town & Country minivan.
Authorities report that the Ramseys were attempting to turn onto FM 933 when their vehicle pulled out in front of a southbound Ford F-150. The minivan failed to yield the right of way and was struck by the oncoming pickup truck.
