According to the El Paso Police Department, the deadly crash occurred around 9:45 p.m. on September 26 on I-10 West near the Geronimo exit. Authorities confirmed that 21-year-old Kevin Lopez-Vazquez was walking along the interstate when he was hit by a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta.
