Laclede, MO (January 7, 2025) – A three-vehicle collision on I-44 Eastbound near the 123-mile marker resulted in multiple moderate injuries on Tuesday morning, according to initial reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at approximately 10:07 a.m. when a 2015 Buick LaCrosse, driven by a 53-year-old woman from Marshfield, MO, attempted to change lanes to pass. The vehicle struck the rear of a 2014 Chevrolet Spark that had stopped due to an earlier crash. The impact caused the Spark to hit the rear of a 2023 Peterbilt 567.

The drivers and passengers involved suffered moderate injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet Spark, a 20-year-old St. Louis woman, and her 25-year-old passenger were transported to Mercy Springfield for treatment. The Buick driver was taken to Mercy Lebanon.

Emergency responders cleared the scene, leaving the Peterbilt operable and removing the other two vehicles.
