Lubbock, TX (May 30, 2025) – A multi-vehicle accident left one woman with serious injuries Wednesday afternoon in South Lubbock. The incident involved a passenger car and two SUVs along a busy stretch of roadway.
According to reports, the crash happened around 2:56 p.m. on May 28 along 114th Street near Miami Avenue. Authorities said a 37-year-old woman, Lindy Layman, was driving a passenger car when she exited a driveway and collided with an eastbound SUV. The impact caused the first SUV to strike a second SUV traveling in the same direction.
Layman sustained serious injuries and was transported to University Medical Center for treatment. Three others in the SUVs were also injured but only suffered minor wounds.
Police have not released further details as the investigation remains active.
