El Dorado, KS (July 14, 2025) — A tragic single-vehicle accident claimed the life of one man and left two others injured Saturday afternoon in El Dorado. The crash occurred on July 12 around 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Taylor Street and Locust Avenue.

According to reports, officers from the El Dorado Police Department and the Butler County Sheriff’s Department arrived to find a vehicle with three occupants that had collided with an electrical pole. The impact left the driver, a 53-year-old woman, trapped inside the vehicle. She was extracted by emergency crews and transported to the hospital in critical condition. A 40-year-old male passenger was also taken to a local hospital and is reported to be in stable condition. Sadly, a 61-year-old male passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
