Fresno, CA (November 22, 2025) – A pedestrian was struck and killed Tuesday night in Fresno after being hit by a semi-truck on Highway 99, authorities confirmed.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. on November 18 in the northbound lanes of Highway 99 near Clinton Avenue. Manuel Flores, 25, of Fresno, was reportedly walking in the slow lane when he was hit by a Volvo big rig pulling a trailer.
The truck was being operated by a 21-year-old driver, who immediately pulled over and remained at the scene to cooperate with investigators.
It is unclear why Flores was in the roadway at the time of the collision. The CHP is continuing its investigation.
