Franklin County, WA (August 26, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash outside Pasco claimed the life of 76-year-old Mark Wallum of Vancouver and left three others injured on Sunday, according to the Washington State Patrol.
According to reports, the collision occurred on August 24 at the intersection of US 395 and Crestloch Road. Authorities said a 2025 Chevrolet Trax was traveling southbound on US 395 when it attempted a left turn onto Crestloch Road. The vehicle crossed into the northbound lanes and was struck by an oncoming 2003 Toyota Rav4.
Wallum, who was riding as a passenger in the Trax, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Trax driver, a 73-year-old woman, and another passenger, an 18-year-old from Vancouver, were transported to the hospital. The Rav4 driver, a 48-year-old man from Deer Park, was also hospitalized. Their conditions have not been released.
Troopers confirmed all occupants were wearing seatbelts, and neither drugs nor alcohol were factors in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
