MARPLE TOWNSHIP, PA (January 16, 2025) – A tragic two-vehicle crash last Friday night on the Media Bypass near the Interstate 476 northbound entrance ramp claimed one life and left several others injured.
Pennsylvania State Police responded to the scene at approximately 10:43 p.m., finding a pickup truck with severe front-end damage and a Honda sedan heavily damaged on its passenger side.
Investigators determined that the driver of the Honda was looking at their cell phone and failed to notice a red light at the ramp, causing a collision with the pickup truck. One person in the Honda was killed, and all other individuals involved were transported to nearby hospitals with varying degrees of injuries.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved or confirmed whether charges will be filed.
