Martin County, IN (January 10, 2025) – A fatal two-vehicle crash on US 50 near State Road 450 claimed the life of a Shoals man on Thursday.
Indiana State Police and the Martin County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash, which occurred just west of Shoals.
According to the preliminary investigation, 58-year-old Paul Davis of Shoals was driving a 2016 Cadillac SUV eastbound on US 50 when he lost control of the vehicle. The SUV traveled sideways into the westbound lane, where it collided with a 2010 Mack semi-tractor trailer driven by a 21-year-old man from Washington, Indiana.
Davis was pronounced dead at the scene by the Martin County Coroner. The semi-truck driver was not injured.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
