The crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 5. Authorities report that 56-year-old Raymond Jones was driving a northbound Ford F-150 when he crossed the centerline and collided nearly head-on with a southbound vehicle carrying three occupants, including the teenage passenger.
The 17-year-old was transported to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The two adults in the car sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
Jones was arrested and booked into the Spokane County Jail on suspicion of vehicular assault.
