Marana, AZ. (November 25, 2025) – Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal pedestrian crash earlier this month as 81-year-old Miguel Martinez, according to the Marana Police Department.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision occurred around 5:57 p.m. on November 17 near the intersection of West Moore Road and North Sanders Road. Investigators say Martinez was walking on West Moore Road outside of a crosswalk when he was struck by a westbound Toyota Rav4.
Martinez was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries and later died the following day. The driver remained at the scene and was cooperative with law enforcement. Impairment was not believed to be a factor.
