Investigators determined that a dump truck was heading south on Manchester Avenue and attempting to turn left onto the westbound I-70 ramp. At that moment, a northbound minibike collided with the side of the truck.
Police said the minibike did not have any lights, and the impact of the collision ejected the rider, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The dump truck driver was not injured in the incident. The crash remains under active investigation by law enforcement authorities.
