Monroe, MO – Collision at US 24 and MO 15 Results in Serious Injuries

MONROE, MO (January 12, 2025) – Authorities responded to a two-vehicle crash on US 24 at MO 15 in Monroe County late Friday afternoon. The incident occurred at approximately 5:32 PM and involved a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu and a 2019 Ford Escape.

According to preliminary reports, the Chevrolet Malibu, driven by a 16-year-old female from Monroe City, pulled into the path of the Ford Escape, driven by a 62-year-old woman from Madison. Both vehicles sustained total damage, with one being secured roadside and the other towed by Roberts Towing.

The crash resulted in injuries to three individuals. The juvenile driver and a 15-year-old male occupant of the Malibu were transported by private vehicles to local medical centers for treatment of minor injuries. The Ford Escape’s driver suffered serious injuries and was taken by Monroe County Ambulance to the University of Missouri Hospital.
