Cambridge, MN (June 23, 2025) – A motorcycle crash in Cambridge Saturday evening left two people injured—one seriously—after the vehicle struck a road hazard.
News sources show the crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. on June 22 along the southbound lanes of Highway 65 near the intersection of Highway 95. James Marron, 65, of St. Francis, was operating a motorcycle when it encountered a road buckle. The sudden change in pavement conditions caused him to lose control and crash.
Marron sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Cambridge Medical Center. His passenger, 66-year-old Rene Marron, also of St. Francis, was more seriously hurt and airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Authorities confirmed that neither rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The Minnesota State Patrol is continuing to investigate the incident and assess contributing roadway conditions.
