Cass County Sheriff’s deputies say the 58-year-old woman from Indiana was riding her motorcycle north on Gumwood Road when a deer darted into her path. In an attempt to avoid the animal, she lost control of her bike and struck a curb within the roundabout.
The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to South Bend Memorial Hospital for treatment.
