According to reports, the crash occurred around 12:17 a.m. on August 5 at the intersection of South General McMullen Drive and Wallace Street. Authorities said a woman driving a sedan pulled into the intersection and clipped a motorcycle that was traveling northbound on South General McMullen Drive at a high rate of speed.

The impact caused the motorcycle to crash, and the 19-year-old rider was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
