Seattle, WA (August 12, 2025) – Emergency crews rushed to the scene late Saturday morning after a serious crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV in Seattle’s Greenwood neighborhood.
According to reports, the collision occurred just before noon on August 9 near the intersection of North 85th Street and Linden Avenue North. Responding officers found a 33-year-old motorcyclist suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center for urgent care.
Investigators said a red Ford SUV was traveling westbound on North 85th Street and attempted a U-turn to head east. The motorcyclist, who had been riding behind the SUV, changed lanes to pass and collided with the turning vehicle. Authorities determined the 27-year-old driver was impaired, had a suspended license, no insurance, and an active assault warrant. He was arrested and booked into King County Jail for investigation of vehicular assault.
