Covington County, AL (June 18, 2025) – A deadly motorcycle crash claimed the life of a young Louisiana man in the early hours of June 15 near Andalusia.
News sources show that 21-year-old Jackson R. Poole was critically injured after his motorcycle rear-ended another motorcycle while traveling on County Road 102, approximately 10 miles south of Andalusia. The incident occurred just before 2:00 a.m.
Poole, a resident of Youngsville, Louisiana, was initially taken to Andalusia Health and later transferred to HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital in Fort Walton Beach, where he was pronounced dead. The other motorcyclist was also treated at Andalusia Health for injuries sustained in the crash.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
