Irving, TX (August 3, 2025) — A nighttime collision in Irving tragically claimed the life of a motorcyclist late Friday evening on the city’s west side.
According to reports, the fatal accident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. on August 1 in the 500 block of West Interstate 635 Service Road. Authorities said a motorcycle was traveling westbound at a high rate of speed when a separate vehicle pulled onto the service road, also heading west, and did not see the oncoming motorcyclist.
The rider was unable to avoid impact and struck the rear of the vehicle. Emergency personnel transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital, where they later died from their injuries. The victim’s identity has not yet been released pending family notification.
An investigation into the crash remains ongoing, and officials have not provided further information at this time.
