Lockport, NY (July 28, 2025) — A 59-year-old man from Lockport is in critical condition following a serious crash between a motorcycle and an SUV on Thursday evening in the Town of Lockport.
According to reports, deputies from the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office and troopers with New York State Police responded to the crash just after 6:15 p.m. on July 25 at the intersection of Robinson Road and East Canal Road. Investigators say the man was riding a 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Robinson Road when a 2019 Toyota SUV traveling west attempted to turn left onto East Canal Road. The motorcycle collided with the turning SUV.
The motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and was flown by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition in the intensive care unit. The SUV’s driver, a 34-year-old woman from Pendleton, was treated at the scene and released.
This marks the third serious motorcycle crash in the county within a week. Authorities are continuing their investigation into Thursday’s incident.
