Salem Township, MI (August 10, 2025) — A motorcyclist was seriously injured Saturday afternoon, August 9, in a collision with a sedan at the intersection of 26th Street and Ottogan Street in Allegan County. The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office says the crash was reported at 4:36 p.m. after Ottawa County Central Dispatch notified Allegan County Central Dispatch of the incident.

According to reports, a northbound sedan failed to yield the right of way and struck an eastbound Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The rider was transported to Corewell Health Hospital with serious injuries, while the two occupants of the sedan were uninjured. Authorities say neither speed nor alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash. Emergency crews from Jamestown Township Fire Department, Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, Life EMS, Salem Fire Department, and the Allegan County crash reconstruction team assisted at the scene. The investigation is ongoing, and names have not been released.
