Staten Island, NY (June 21, 2025) — A man remains hospitalized in critical condition after a violent motorcycle crash on the Staten Island Expressway Thursday morning.
According to reports, the crash occurred around 8:45 a.m. on June 19, when a 35-year-old man lost control of his 2012 Suzuki GSX-R750L while heading New Jersey bound near the Victory Boulevard exit. NYPD investigators say the motorcycle struck the rear of a 2025 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by a 33-year-old man.
The impact caused the motorcyclist to be ejected, resulting in severe body trauma. EMS crews responded quickly and transported the injured rider to Richmond University Medical Center in West Brighton, where he remains in critical condition.
The driver of the Dodge Ram stayed on the scene and was not injured. No charges have been filed as the NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad continues to review the incident. Traffic was heavily impacted for several hours in both directions.
