Yuma, AZ (October 6, 2025) – A 20-year-old man sustained critical injuries in a motorcycle crash Friday evening, October 3, at the intersection of East 32nd Street and South Fortuna Avenue in Yuma.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred around 7:05 p.m. when the rider of a black Honda CBR600RR was heading west on 32nd Street. The motorcycle collided with a silver Nissan Sentra that was reportedly making a lane change at the time.
Emergency responders transported the injured rider to Onvida Health before he was airlifted to a hospital in Phoenix for advanced care. The 46-year-old man driving the Nissan has not been reported as injured.
Initial findings suggest that the motorcyclist’s speed may have contributed to the collision. The Yuma Police Department is leading the investigation.
