Taylor, TX (September 21, 2025) – A 24-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash late Friday afternoon in Taylor, Texas, according to local authorities.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred around 5:56 p.m. on September 19 in the 13400 block of Chandler Road near County Road 366. Billy LaFrance, a resident of Jarrell, was traveling on a motorcycle when a white 2021 Toyota Corolla attempted to turn southbound onto County Road 366. The turn resulted in a collision LaFrance could not avoid.
Tragically, LaFrance was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. The driver of the Toyota, identified as 23-year-old Melany Espana of Arlington, was transported to Scott and White Hospital in Taylor with minor injuries.
Law enforcement officials are continuing their investigation into the crash.
