Poulsbo, WA (August 24, 2025) – A man from Aberdeen was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident Friday morning near Poulsbo in Kitsap County.
According to reports, the collision happened on August 22 along Highway 3 at Equestrian Drive, near Snider Park. A 56-year-old motorcyclist was traveling northbound when a Toyota RAV-4, driven by a 90-year-old man from Seabeck, pulled onto the shoulder of the highway.
As the RAV-4 began merging back into traffic, it struck the motorcycle rider as he attempted to pass. The impact ejected the motorcyclist from his vehicle. Authorities confirmed the rider was wearing a helmet at the time.
Emergency personnel responded and the injured man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center for further treatment. Washington State Patrol is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
