According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash took place at approximately 9:26 p.m. on September 1, about two miles north of Willard. A 2025 Kawasaki Ninja, heading northbound, collided with a 2018 Honda CR-V that turned directly into its path.

The motorcyclist, a young man from Walnut Grove, was seriously injured in the crash and transported by EMS to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. The Honda’s driver, a 68-year-old woman—also from Walnut Grove—was wearing a seat belt and was not hurt. She was able to drive her vehicle from the scene, which sustained moderate damage. The motorcycle was totaled and towed by a private party.
