Rockaway Beach, MO (August 28, 2025) – A teenage motorcyclist was injured Wednesday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash in Rockaway Beach, according to authorities.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 4:18 p.m. on August 27, 2025, on Missouri Route 176 in Rockaway Beach, located in Taney County. Investigators say a 2005 Toyota Scion xP, driven by a 63-year-old woman from Rockaway Beach, failed to yield while making a left-hand turn and struck the left side of an eastbound 2024 Apollo chopper motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, a 16-year-old male from Forsyth, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage. The motorcycle was removed by a private party, and the Scion was towed by Jim’s Autobody. Authorities noted the Toyota driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
