Lisbon, ME (August 28, 2025) – A Lisbon man was critically injured Wednesday afternoon in a motorcycle crash in Lisbon Falls. Police said the collision happened around 3:17 p.m. on August 27 along Route 196 near the intersection of School Street.
According to the Maine State Police, investigators determined the 21-year-old rider of a 2025 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle was traveling east when he lost control, slid into the westbound lane, and struck a 2016 Hyundai Sonata driven by a 37-year-old Winthrop man. The motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries and was first transported to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston before being flown by LifeFlight to Maine Medical Center in Portland. The driver of the Hyundai was not injured.
Witnesses stopped to provide aid before first responders arrived. The Lisbon Police Department was assisted by accident reconstruction specialists from Lewiston Police and the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office. Lisbon Fire Department and Lisbon Public Works also responded.
