MOUNTAIN VIEW, MO (January 11, 2025) – A crash involving a 2016 Can-Am 570 Outlander and a 2023 Ford Ranger occurred on County Road 496, three miles northeast of Mountain View, Saturday afternoon. The incident took place at approximately 1:30 PM and was investigated by TPR B.A. Swink, with assistance from CPL D.E. Rogers.

Preliminary reports indicate that the Can-Am, driven by a 40-year-old male from Birch Tree, slid on a curve and struck the Ford Ranger, driven by a 59-year-old man from Mountain View. The Can-Am sustained moderate damage and was towed by Baker’s Towing, while the Ford Ranger had minor damage and was driven from the scene.

The driver of the Can-Am sustained minor injuries and was transported by patrol vehicle to Mercy St. Francis Hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported.
