Ellington Twp., MI (September 27, 2025) – A mass casualty crash involving a commercial semi truck and a Jeep filled with Cass City residents left three people dead and several critically injured late Friday night in Tuscola County.
According to the Michigan State Police, the Tuscola County Sheriff’s Office and multiple emergency agencies responded to the intersection of Deckerville Road and Hurds Corner Road at approximately 9:02 p.m. on September 26, 2025. Authorities say a 55-year-old Florida man was driving a loaded semi truck southbound on Hurds Corner Road when he failed to stop at a posted stop sign.
