Elgin, TX (October 6, 2025) – Two people lost their lives and another was injured following a multi-vehicle crash Saturday evening, October 4, at a busy intersection in Elgin.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal collision occurred just before 7:00 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 290 and State Highway 95. Police reported that multiple vehicles collided under circumstances that are still under investigation.
Three individuals were transported to hospitals in Austin. Sadly, two of them were later pronounced dead. The third victim’s condition has not been released at this time.
The crash caused the closure of both roadways for approximately two hours while officials investigated and cleared the scene.
