HALIFAX TOWNSHIP, PA (June 13, 2025) – Emergency crews responded to a serious accident involving multiple vehicles on the afternoon of June 10 in Dauphin County, leaving three people hospitalized, including a 12-year-old boy.
News sources show that the crash occurred around 4:45 p.m. along the 200 block of South River Road, also known as Route 147. Authorities say a 26-year-old man operating a Honda Civic was traveling at a high rate of speed when he failed to slow for traffic. In an attempt to avoid a collision, the Civic veered left and sideswiped a Honda Accord before striking a pickup truck head-on in the oncoming lane.
The Civic driver was trapped in the vehicle and later airlifted to Penn State Hershey Medical Center with serious injuries. The pickup driver, a 52-year-old man, and his 12-year-old passenger were also hospitalized. The boy sustained serious injuries and was transported by ground ambulance.
Authorities confirmed that the 18-year-old Honda Accord driver was uninjured. The Civic driver faces several citations, including careless driving and unsafe speed.
