Morgan County, MO (July 13, 2025) — A serious crash involving three vehicles left four people injured Sunday afternoon on Missouri Route 5, just north of Moreau Lane. The collision occurred at approximately 12:13 p.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
According to reports, a southbound 2016 Ford Fusion hydroplaned, crossed the centerline, and collided head-on with a northbound 2024 Ford Expedition. Debris from the Expedition then struck a 2018 Ford F-150 also traveling northbound. The Ford Fusion came to rest in the roadway after ejecting its driver and a passenger, while the Expedition traveled off the right side of the road and overturned.
The 22-year-old woman driving the Fusion, from Clarksburg, suffered serious injuries and was transported to University Hospital by ambulance. The Expedition’s driver, a 50-year-old man from Lawrence, Kansas, along with his two passengers — a 21-year-old woman and an 11-year-old girl, both from Lawrence — all sustained moderate injuries and were also taken to University Hospital for treatment. The driver of the Ford F-150, an 18-year-old man from Grain Valley, was not reported injured and was able to drive away from the scene.
Multiple troopers with Troop F assisted with the investigation and clearing of the crash site. Road conditions and weather at the time of the hydroplane remain under review.
