Investigators say Jonah Ray Huitron was speeding in a Hyundai Sonata and weaving in and out of traffic before crashing into a white sedan. His vehicle then veered into oncoming traffic, striking both a Chevrolet Silverado and a white Acura sedan.

Huitron and occupants of the Silverado sustained non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger inside the Sonata was seriously injured. All were transported to Medical Center Hospital for medical care.

Authorities determined Huitron was intoxicated at the time. He was arrested and charged with Intoxication Assault and Driving While License Invalid with Prior Convictions. He is currently in custody at the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.
