Tarrant County, TX (September 7, 2025) – A tragic multi-vehicle crash in Tarrant County claimed four lives, including an infant, on the evening of Sunday, September 1.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred around 8:20 p.m. in the 8700 block of Highway 1187 and involved four vehicles. One of the vehicles reportedly caught fire, requiring emergency responders to evacuate trapped victims.
Among those killed were 34-year-old Irma Garcia Vasquez and her baby daughter. Twenty-four-year-old Francisco Chavez Garcia and 52-year-old Marisol Villalobos also lost their lives. Vasquez, Garcia, and the infant were pronounced dead at the scene, while Villalobos died after being transported to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest.
At least two others suffered critical injuries. One victim was airlifted from the scene for further treatment.
The crash remains under investigation by the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Investigations Unit.
