Perrysburg, OH (August 27, 2025) – A serious crash involving four vehicles temporarily shut down a portion of southbound Interstate 75 in Perrysburg on Tuesday afternoon and left one person hospitalized with significant injuries.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just south of the State Route 795 and Ohio Turnpike interchanges at approximately 4:20 p.m. on August 26. The vehicles involved included a semi truck, a pickup truck, a minivan, and a sedan—all traveling southbound.

Investigators said a 46-year-old man from Bradner driving the pickup failed to maintain a safe distance and rear-ended the minivan. That impact pushed the van, driven by a 36-year-old from Bowling Green, across the highway into a sedan operated by a 58-year-old Perrysburg resident. The van and sedan became disabled in the left shoulder and center lane, respectively.

The pickup then veered off the right side of the road, colliding with a semi truck merging onto the highway. The pickup flipped onto its roof, ending up beneath the semi, which came to rest partially on top of it. The driver of the pickup suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. No other injuries were reported.
