Scurry County, TX (September 24, 2025) – Two people tragically lost their lives and two others were seriously injured following a three-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 180 in Scurry County late Monday night.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the deadly accident occurred around 9:05 p.m. on September 22. Authorities say an 18-wheeler was traveling westbound on US 180, followed closely by a second vehicle. A third vehicle, heading eastbound, reportedly crossed over the centerline and struck both the semi-truck and the second vehicle.
The second vehicle’s driver, Orlando Tello, 32, and his passenger, Silvia Lemon, 59, both of Lamesa, were pronounced dead at the scene.
