Pima County, AZ (October 11, 2025) – A violent altercation inside a moving vehicle resulted in a deadly rollover crash Tuesday morning on Interstate 19 in southern Arizona.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred around 8:30 a.m. on October 7 near Papago Road (KP88). Officials say a fight broke out between the driver and front-seat passenger, causing the vehicle to veer off the roadway into the median and roll over.
Both individuals in the front seat were ejected. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver sustained life-threatening injuries and remains hospitalized. Authorities have not yet released the deceased victim’s name but may do so following family notification.
