Portland, OR (August 5, 2025) — A pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle Sunday night in East Portland, according to the Portland Police Bureau.

According to reports, the incident occurred around 10:06 p.m. on August 3 at the intersection of Southeast 122nd Avenue and Southeast Ash Street. Officers from the East Precinct responded to the scene and found the pedestrian with critical injuries. Life-saving efforts were attempted, and the victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where they later died.

The driver involved in the crash remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities. The Portland Police Bureau’s Major Crash Team conducted an investigation, which led to the temporary closure of Southeast 122nd Avenue between East Burnside Street and Southeast Stark Street.
