Puyallup, WA (August 21, 2025) – A pedestrian was tragically struck and killed by multiple vehicles, including a pickup truck and a garbage truck, early Wednesday morning in Puyallup.
According to reports, the fatal incident occurred around 6:32 a.m. on August 20 along State Route 167, just south of 44th Street East. The Washington State Patrol stated that a pedestrian was walking on SR 167 when they were initially hit by a pickup truck traveling along the highway.
A garbage truck is also believed to have struck the pedestrian. The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement. Authorities confirmed that the pickup driver was not suspected of impairment.
The operator of the garbage truck also stopped and is assisting with the investigation.
