News sources show that 24-year-old Conner Smith, known for his recent CMA Fest performance, was behind the wheel when he hit 77-year-old Dorothy “Dot” Dobbins in a marked crosswalk along 3rd Avenue North near Van Buren Street in the Germantown neighborhood on June 8.

Authorities from the Metro Nashville Police Department reported that Smith failed to yield the right-of-way to Dobbins, who was walking her dog at the time. The dog, named Angel, was not injured and is now in the care of neighbors.
