Honolulu, HI (January 5, 2026) – A pedestrian was hospitalized with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in a late-morning crash in Honolulu on Tuesday, December 30.
According to the Hawaii Department of Public Safety, Honolulu EMS crews were dispatched at approximately 11:57 a.m. to the intersection of South Beretania Street and Keeaumoku Street. A man, believed to be in his 70s, was found with multiple traumatic injuries after reportedly being hit by a vehicle. EMS provided immediate treatment on scene before transporting the victim to a nearby hospital in serious condition.
In response to the crash, police temporarily closed two mauka-bound lanes on Keeaumoku Street just past South Beretania Street at 12:15 p.m. All lanes were reopened by 12:40 p.m.
