Police said the van’s 68-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle due to a medical episode, veering off course and hitting a 51-year-old female pedestrian.

Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and provided immediate care to both individuals. The pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital in serious condition. The driver was also hospitalized but reported to be in stable condition.
