According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 1991 Mazda CV, driven southbound by a 42-year-old woman from Purdy, struck a pedestrian in the roadway. The victim, an 84-year-old woman from Monett, was pronounced deceased at 7:10 p.m. at the scene by Barry County Coroner Gary Swearingen.
