Phoenix, AZ (December 15, 2024) – Two men lost their lives in a fatal two-vehicle collision early Sunday morning near 73rd Avenue and Indian School Road.

Phoenix Police identified the victims as Alonso Franco, 37, and Erick Segura, 35. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred just before 2 a.m. on December 15. Investigators reported that a 28-year-old driver of a Chevrolet Camaro traveling eastbound on Indian School Road attempted to pass another vehicle by changing lanes. The Camaro oversteered, crossing into westbound lanes and colliding with another car.

A 16-year-old boy involved in the crash was hospitalized with injuries but is expected to survive. The Camaro driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was also hospitalized.

Authorities extricated several individuals from the wreckage, and the intersection remained closed for hours during the investigation.
