Manor, TX (July 18, 2025) – A small plane crash prompted an emergency response Friday morning in the rural outskirts of Manor after a reported engine failure forced the aircraft to land unexpectedly.
According to reports, the Piper PA-46 departed from Gillespie County Airport and was headed to Austin Executive Airport when it experienced mechanical issues mid-flight. The pilot brought the plane down in a field near the 14000 block of Fuchs Grove Road, approximately six miles southeast of the Austin Executive Airport. Emergency crews from Travis County ESD No. 2 and ESD No. 12 arrived at the scene around 10:45 a.m.
Despite the crash landing, both individuals aboard the plane were unharmed. Responders from the Texas Department of Public Safety, Austin Executive Airport, and Travis County STAR Flight also assisted. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
