Buckholts, TX (October 5, 2024) – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is investigating a crash involving a City of Buckholts police vehicle that occurred on Friday morning at 7:10 a.m.
According to the investigating trooper, a Buckholts police officer was driving a 2021 Dodge Charger westbound on SH36 when the crash took place. A 47-year-old woman from Buckholts, driving a 2023 Mitsubishi SUV on Cemetery Rd, reportedly failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign and pulled into the path of the Dodge Charger.
The two vehicles collided, causing the Mitsubishi to roll onto its side.
The driver of the Dodge Charger was transported to the ER with non-incapacitating injuries. Fortunately, the driver of the Mitsubishi and two juvenile passengers were not injured.
DPS continues to investigate the incident to determine the full details of the crash.
