Orange Grove, TX (August 23, 2025) – A tragic two-vehicle collision in Orange Grove claimed the life of one man and left another injured Thursday afternoon, according to authorities.
According to reports, the accident occurred around 4:15 p.m. on August 21 on Farm-to-Market Road 738. Texas DPS reported that 71-year-old Ramon Reyes Estrada was driving a 1998 Chevrolet truck southbound when he attempted to pass a vehicle making a right turn. During the maneuver, he encountered a northbound 2002 Ford F-150 driven by 66-year-old Humberto Ramon.
Despite evasive efforts, the Ford collided with the passenger side of Estrada’s truck. Estrada was transported to Christus Spohn in Alice, where he was later pronounced dead. Humberto Ramon sustained injuries and was hospitalized for further treatment.
